Imposter Syndrome is the absolute worst! You've done all your prep, you're happy with your content and then you get there and the voices in your head start niggling....

"why do I have any right to be here?"

"I don't know enough, I'm not an expert"

"why should anyone listen to me?"

"what I have to say won't be interesting"

"I'm a con artist for agreeing to speak here today"

"I don't deserve to be here"

"I'm not enough"

These voices are fierce. They're desperate not to be silenced. They grow in frequency and loudness. They start to take over every inch of your body.

But I've got something that will immediately throw a force field around you and protect you from those thoughts. It will send them back into outer space where they belong. And allow you to continue forwards with confidence and authority.

It has helped me numerous times in big, high-stakes situations and I continue to use it. It's the 1 quote that I trust will stifle imposter syndrome whenever I need. Here it is....

"If you weren't ready, you wouldn't have the opportunity."

Just read it again. And pause to let the enormity of that sink in.

We ALL know just how many gatekeepers there are in life. These sorts of opportunities are SO hard to come by, and yet here you are. You're the person that was selected to do this. You weren't a randomer pulled off the street. You were specifically, particularly chosen to be here.

YOU, with all your expertise, networks and skills. YOU with your driven energy and all your life experiences. You with this fire in your belly to share your work. To make impact. To engage people on this topic.

When you think about it, how could it be anyone BUT you?

Hope that helps, let me know how you get on 😊
